Connect Instagram to Claude:
a plan from your own numbers

Claude can read your Instagram numbers directly and build a content plan from them. Everything that has worked for you so far is already sitting in that data. You just have to ask for it.

5 minutes to set up Windsor.ai and Claude free to do
Step 01

Switch your Instagram

Windsor pulls your numbers through Meta’s Instagram interface, and that interface only releases data for professional accounts. From a private profile you get nothing at all.

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to Settings in your profile.
  2. Switch to a professional account under Account.
  3. Choose either Creator or Business, both work equally well.
  4. Then check whether a Facebook page is linked to your account.

The switch costs nothing, and you can undo it again at any time.

Step 02

Connect Windsor.ai

  1. Sign up at onboard.windsor.ai.
  2. Choose Instagram as your data source.
  3. Click Connect and authorise Windsor inside your Instagram account.

Windsor is the line between Meta and Claude. It collects the data and hands it over, so you never have to export anything yourself.

Step 03

Activate the connector in Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Connectors in the Settings.
  2. Search for Windsor there and connect it.
  3. Sign in with your Windsor account.
  4. Then set the permission to Always allow.
Why always allow

If you leave the permission unset, Claude will ask for it again in every new chat. That interrupts you in the middle of the conversation every single time.

Step 04

The prompts

The four prompts below each work on their own. You do not have to run them in order.

30-day plan from your best posts
Analyse my Instagram performance over the last 90 days.
Use the Windsor connector, connector "instagram".
Call get_fields first, only then get_data.

Find my 10 strongest posts by engagement rate and tell me what they have
in common: topic, format, caption length, time of day.

Build a 30-day plan from that, with concrete topics, formats and posting
times. Tie every recommendation to a real post.

If the data is thin, say so instead of guessing.
What your outliers have in common
Use the Windsor connector, "instagram". get_fields first, then get_data.

Show me the days where I gained an unusual number of followers, and which
post came right before each one.

What do those posts have in common? I don't want general advice, I want
the pattern from my own numbers.

Turn it into a checklist I can run through before every post.
Understanding the flops
Use the Windsor connector, "instagram". get_fields first, then get_data.

Show me my ten weakest posts of the last 60 days by reach and saves.

What separates them from my strongest ones? Be specific and name the
places where I get in my own way.

At the end: three things I should drop from now on.
When to post
Use the Windsor connector, "instagram". get_fields first, then get_data.

From timestamp and week_day, work out which weekdays and times my posts
perform best. Use the median, not the average, so one outlier doesn't
skew it.

Build me a posting schedule for the next four weeks.

Important: this is a results-based reading, not a look at when my
followers are online. Tell me how solid the result is.
If nothing comes back

Four failures

What Windsor cannot do

Windsor only reads your own account. You cannot analyse other people’s profiles with it, and you cannot do it with any other serious tool either.
